A Watercolor painting in a fast
and easy project.
Step by Step, this project is based on a lphoto taken by Carl's friend
while touring Hawaii.
|
Carl
took on this "fast and sloppy" project as
a release after working on the last project that was
very slow and tedious. The reference photo has a lot
of color and intrigue. This painting shows nature's
persistence at carving out a new beach.

An oil painting using a media
Carl's never used before: Water Mixable Oil
Step by Step, this project is based on a landscape
reference photo taken by Carl's daughter and son-in-law
on a trip to Puerto Vallarta
|
Project
started July 13, 2004
About
the only stability in Carl's artistic endeavors is change!
This month he was intrigued reading about water mixable
oils. They're non-toxic and clean up with soap and water.
This project will attempt to create an ocean shore scene
that looks out through palm trees toward the ocean,
rocks, and a small boat.

An experimental colored pen and
ink drawing that relies primarily on stippling.
Step by Step , a short experimental pen and ink
project that uses 24 Pentel Color Pens..
|
Project
started May 30, 2004
Usually
during the month of June Carl doesn't get a lot of art
done. Carl's annual fishing trip comes along late in
June so he spends entirely too much of his spare time
in the sporting goods store looking at lures and dreaming
of quieter days ahead. He decided to do a project with
pen and ink, a media he thoroughly enjoys.

|
Project
started April 4, 2004
Carl
decided to do a watercolor. The subject for this painting
is a still photo Carl took in his kitchen one day when
he was getting ready to make pasta. The values and color
combinations of the photo should present quite a challenge.
