"Fish Stories", Acrylic Painting It is hard to see in this image but Carl placed some dark tree outlines on the upper right area of the background. He also painted in the under-painting of the water area. During his session this evening Carl studied the project colors and color wheel. As he's said before, Carl believes nature takes care of its own color theory. Nonetheless he was curious to understand if these colors could play well together. From the wheel it looks like this project adheres to a tetrad of colors: light blue, yellow green, tan, and some violet (that will appear on one of the fisherman's clothes). This project is being painted on an 18" X 24" stretched canvas with Winsor & Newton Galeria Acrylics. This project is an original painting based on a photograph Carl took in the north woods of Minnesota on Pelican Lake near Orr..
