"Alice Lake", Oil Painting You have to look carefully, at least at first, to see much change in the results of tonight's session. Carl spent a couple of hours adding detail (more trees and rocks) in the hillside on the left of the horizon. He also played a little bit with the background mountain range. But for all of it he said he was surprised at how much time he spent to get such a little bit of added detail. Carl said he was beginning to think this will be a long and tedious project. However he said he's having a lot of fun with the oil paints and this painting. An original 18" X 24" oil painting on stretched canvas using Winsor and Newton Artisan Water Mixable Oils. This project based on a photograph Carl's brother's brother-in-law Lee Eichelberger took while backpacking in Idaho.
