Again this year Carl took a week to go off by himself to the North Woods of Minnesota. Carl makes an annual trek to the Aspen Resort on Pelican Lake in Orr, Minnesota. Pelican Lake is located 42 miles southeast of International Falls, MN.

This is the sixth year Carl has returned to the Aspen Resort. If you wonder what's so special about this particular resort you can see their website at http://www.aspenmn.com. Carl was joined in his fishing endeaver by this skinny fisherman.

Carl said "This year I spent more time photographing the wildlife around the camp and on the lake. I didn't take as many photos as in previous years, but I tried to photograph some new sites"..  

On the Dock...

 One of the cabins has its own dock that extends onto the Lake.The dock is usually occupied each evening at sunset time.

Each year it seems Carl notices some new thing during his visit to Minnesota that makes it special. This year it was the people. Every year he meets new people during his week on the lake. And every year he sees people he's met before, to renew acquaintenances. And since the resort is kept up so well the clientele is top notch.
